Finally went to dinner with the family. Had a great time, though the daughter didn't like the filet prepared medium. I of course love it. My son on the other hand had his chicken fingers and fries. The kids chicken fingers need to be more meat and less breading... I think they need to come up with a way to make a healthy meal that kids like to eat. So far haven't gained any weight but finding the last 10 pounds to be a bear to lose. I am at a good weight now, and my BMI is drastically lowered and in the good range. I would just like to lose a little more weight.

Sizing things up!
Well, what happens when you're losing weight and go to buy new clothes and one size is slightly to big and the other slightly to small? Yeah, you buy the small one because then it gives you that little bit of an incentive to keep going to lose the weight you want. Don't know about the rest of you but even though I have lost a ton of weight, I still feel fat. OK, outrageous and ridiculous, but I do. Maybe it is just because that I now have that loose skin that just hangs there with nothing in it. Yes, I know, that is a good thing, I am getting healthier and more fit but it is one of my greatest wishes to get a tummy tuck and truly have the body I was meant to have.

OH what a week!
OK so I finally have a chance to write a little blog. I have been so busy trying to catch up with work and life that I just haven't had the time. I think I lost the one pound I gained from my business trip and I am back on course. So many demands just not enough time. Does it seem as we get older the days, weeks, months and years just zoom on past. Do have to giveĀ a shot out to Cabanas for a well cooked Filet Mignon meal on Tuesday. I tried to go at lunch but that week they started the 4 pm open time. OH well, so I had to miss a week. I do love going shopping when I have a few extra bucks in my pocket and buying sizes I haven't purchased since I was in high school.

It's a smorgasbord!
It is so difficult to stay on track while away at business. Four days and all you can eat. Well so far I have done pretty well, huge salad with lots of veggies for dinner yesterday with a piece of broiled Mahi-Mahi. Breakfast was a egg whites omelet with lots of veggies and 1 piece of turkey sausage, lunch today was another plate of salad and a piece of salmon. For those who know me I love fish, so having a fresh fish choice at every meal is exciting. I did cheat and have a 1/2 cup of soft serve ice cream with strawberry topping. Even tied a knot in the cherry stem. It's not all bad since you have to walk at least 500 feet to eat and sleep so not all is lost...a lot of walking. There is a 5K on Friday morning at 6:30 so we shall see.

Weighing In!
Unlike most I seemed fortunate to have weighed in with a five pound LOSS, yes, you heard me. It even surprised me. Really thought I had only lost a pound. So I quess I have bounced off the plateau. Now only about 10 more to lose!

For every negative there is a positive!
Not feeling to hopeful about losing any weight this month. At least I have not gained any. I have reached my first plateau so even though I still eat very healthy and work out, there is no weight loss. On the upside, I know my body fat is finally in the normal range, so that is a plus, and I know I am building muscle, so that is what is important. The fat is still burning off, I am just replacing it with strong muscles. For every negative there is a positive!

Slow and steady...wins the race!
Well, don't think I will win but the pounds are very slow in coming off, I have changed my eating habits and my exercise routine. It is a fact that those last ten pounds are always the hardest. All I know is that I have dropped 2 sizes and my old clothes float on me, so I must be doing something right!
