Dinner with my boy!
difficult week. I took my 4 year old with me to dinner, I had the
Chipotle Lime Shrimp. It was tasty but still a little to spicy for me.
They were kind enough to bring me out some extra vegetables and they
are always done perfectly. My son, had a cheeseburger and fries,
though he inhaled the fries and left the Cheeseburger which for a kids
meal was huge. We took it home and will split it for dinner tomorrow.
The crew at Cabanas are so friendly and what a great bonus that
someone I work with dropped in with her mom. It was a very enjoyable
evening.

SNOW, SNOW GO AWAY!
it will be a different season. But how I yearn for some outdoor
activities, especially gardening. What a joy to pick strawberries at
the end of May, eat a large head of butter crunch lettuce, or picking
fresh tomatos off the vine and eat them while you work. My favorite is
August when the peaches are ready to pick and eat fresh off the tree!

Just need to munch!
have the salty sweet craving, then you want to eat something crunchy.
Weekends are so difficult when there is snow on the ground and it is
cold and you can't really do much outside. I did take my son for a
quick easter egg hunt, but then came home because it was just to cold
to play on the playground. Soon enough it will be spring!

Lunch at Cabanas
finally tried the teriyaki Salmon and I think this is my favorite. I
do love the filet but wow, the salmon was fantastic. I asked for a few
more vegetables and just a few pieces of potato and the gladly
accomodated. The vegetables were crisp and there was a nice variety of
carrots, broccoli and snap peas. They went very well with the glazed
salmon, and it was perfectly cooked. The server was the bonus. Thank
you for a great meal.

ends. Luckily, parties will be at a minimum. A small piece of cake

Work is a good thing!
rolling down the hill and just got bigger and bigger, well, that was
my weekend, and the past two days. Sometimes work is the perfect
escape for what you really don't want to think about.

LOVE THE FOOD...LOVE THE SERVICE
a great meal, which was the Parmesean Filet. I still think this is at
the top of my list of the best on the lighten up menu. Second time and
it was perfect once again. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Kuddos
to the chef tonight and the broccoli was perfectly cooked as well, and
let's not forget the potato. I love the great flavor and the light
crispness. Thanks for a great meal.

Lemonade?
a rhetorical question! How does one deal with life when it is turned
upsded down? How do you continue to do all the things one needs to do
without the right tools? OK....bad weekend, had to cancel a business
trip and now time to deal with the unexpected things in life this
week! Just not looking forward to what I need to do...On the
upside..stress always does help me loose weight.

Dinner at Cabanas

What a weekend!
this past weekend. My daughter was home from college and everyone
wanted to buy me a drink for my birthday. At least one's birthday only

A day to indulge!
though I did have the soup, salad, and one breadstick, peach
twizzlers, and a serving of dark chocolate. Dinner was Grilled
Tilapia, Broccoli, and salad and a couple of bites of a cookie with
frosting...OK, it was my birthday. It is nice to indulge once in
awhile.
